Installation

This is an installation guide for several common launchers. Download links are available for all the launchers by clicking on the header of each section

GDLauncher (Fastest)

1. Make sure GDLauncher is set to automatically manage Java for you
2. Press the [+] button in the lower left of the launcher.
3. In the "Add New Instance" modal, select "CurseForge".
4. Type "Create: Above and Beyond" in the search box. Select the first result.
5. Set a custom name for your instance if you wish to do so, then select the arrow on the bottom right.
6. Wait for the files to finish downloading, then press "play" on your new instance!

Curse / Overwolf

1. Optional: Skip steps 2-6 by clicking here (requires CurseForge to be installed).
2. In the game menu (anvil icon with fire), make sure Minecraft is installed.
3. Select Minecraft (dirt block icon) in the left-hand menu bar of your launcher.
4. Press "Browse modpacks".
5. Type "Create: Above and Beyond" in the search bar.
6. Select the first result and press "Install".
7. Press "My modpacks".
8. Find Create: Above and Beyond and press Play!

ATLauncher

This article is a stub, and needs some love to grow up! You can help the Create: Above and Beyond Wiki by expanding it. Note: This section would benefit from expansion by someone who has ATLauncher installed

1. Install Java 8
2. Select "Add Curse Pack" in the top-left
3. Search for "Create: Above and Beyond" and select the first option.
4. Follow the steps to install the pack.

Vanilla Launcher

1. Make sure you have installed the version of Minecraft that Create: Above And Beyond is released for (1.16.5 at the time of writing)
2. Have Java 8 installed on your system
3. Install Forge 1.16.5 from here
4. Navigate to your minecraft folder
5. If there is no "mods" folder, you have not launched the game with Forge open yet. Either create the folder "mods" (all lowercase) in .minecraft, or launch the game with Forge selected in your launcher, then close it again.
6. Download Create: Above and Beyond from Curseforge
7. Unzip the .zip file into your 'mods' folder. Make sure that the mods folder is empty first. When you are done, the .minecraft/mods folder should contain many .jar files and nothing else.
8. Launch Minecraft from your launcher with the Forge 1.16.5 profile selected in the lower left.
